i am. timeless

i used to pay way too much attention to the time. i would:
-wait at least 4 hours to eat
-pay attention to how long i would exercise
-stress about taking 4 years to graduate
-compare my success to others of the same age
-go to sleep at an exact time
but why does it matter?

why not eat pancakes at midnight instead of 9am?
why not go to college when i’m 30, instead of 20?
why not go for a run (at whatever pacs feels good) until i am tired?
why not get married at 60?
why not take a year for travel when you’re in your eighties?
why not pick up a new hobby at 35?
why not get an “adult job” right out of high school?
why not do something now that you’ve been waiting to do

why plan out your life without confidence that you will live to experience it? why let someone tell you you’re “too old” or “too young” to do something? why deem something acceptable or unacceptable based on the hands on a clock or the year on a calendar? i now refuse to let society constructed rules around time hold me back.
